September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month

The Greenville County Library System invites Greenville County residents to celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month by taking advantage of the many offerings available free with a library card. Begin the process online at or visit any of the 12 library facilities located throughout Greenville County or the bookmobile. 


Get your library account started today with an eCard, a virtual account that is valid for 30 days and provides immediate access to most of the Library System's online resources. These resources include online databases, eBooks, magazines, audiobooks, movies, comics, and music. 

New Library Card Designs

The Greenville County Library System is releasing five brand new library card designs with visual themes from fairytales to outer space to coincide with this year’s National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Signing up for your first library card is free, or you can replace your old or missing library card for $1. Children ages five and older receive a complimentary canvas tote bag with their first library card.

Seed Library Extravaganza

Join us at the Berea Branch to visit with local gardening experts from Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District and Clemson SNAP-Ed at the home of the Seed Library. Enjoy interactive activities, win prizes, and pick up some free seeds for your garden. Choose from heirloom food, flower, and native plant seeds ready for planting.
